Nibwire

Renewal coming up? Run the numbers first.

Your newsletter, without the per‑subscriber tax.

Nibwire sends your newsletter through Amazon SES from your own domain. $29 a month includes 50,000 emails — a weekly issue to 10,000 readers — and your whole list leaves with you whenever you want.

Founding members lock their price for 12 months. We'll move your list for you.

What does your budget buy?

10,000

On Nibwire Hosted, $120 a month sends

232,000 emails a month

23 issues a month to your 10,000 readers

Or send weekly for 43,300 emails a month $29/mo
and keep, per year $1,092

Hosted: $29/mo includes 50,000 emails, then $0.50 per 1,000. Bring your own Amazon SES and the same budget sends about 1,110,000.

Boring infrastructure. On purpose.

Nibwire is a small, well-tested program that does one job: get your issue into inboxes and tell you what happened.

Sent by Amazon SES, from your domain
The same delivery network behind a large share of the world's transactional email. DKIM, SPF and DMARC on your own domain, so the reputation you build is yours.
Your list is a file you can take
Everything lives in one SQLite database: subscribers, issues, opens, clicks, unsubscribes. Download it any day. No export request, no waiting.
Source available
Read every line that touches your subscribers. If you ever want to run it yourself, it's a single binary.
Works with Claude and other AI agents
A built-in MCP server lets your assistant draft, schedule and report on issues — with a human approval step before anything goes out.
Confirmed opt-in and clean lists
Double opt-in, one-click unsubscribe, automatic suppression of bounces and complaints. The things that keep you out of spam folders.
Open and click tracking
Per-issue and per-subscriber stats, plus a re-engagement flow that quietly retires people who stopped reading.

The honest comparison

All-in-one creator platforms do a lot. Nibwire does one thing. If you rely on the extras, stay where you are.

Switching takes an afternoon

For founding members, we do it with you.

  1. Export your list

Download the subscriber CSV from your current platform. Unsubscribes and statuses come along.

  2. We import and set up your domain

We add the DNS records with you and import your list, keeping engagement history so your best readers get mail first.

  3. Send your next issue

Write it as usual, or have your AI assistant draft it. Same readers, smaller bill.

Founding prices

You pay for what you send, not for how many people are on your list. Locked for 12 months for everyone who joins before launch.

Questions

Is Nibwire available today?

The software runs today and the source is public. The hosted service opens to the early-access list first, in small batches, so every migration gets attention. Join and we'll email you when your spot opens.

Will my emails land in the inbox?

Deliverability comes from your domain's authentication and your list's health more than from the platform. Nibwire sends through Amazon SES, signs mail with your domain, and suppresses bounces and complaints automatically. When you move, we warm your domain up by sending to your most engaged readers first.

What does "source available" mean?

The code is public under the Business Source License 1.1. You can read it, change it, and run it for your own newsletters for free. What you can't do is resell it as a hosted service. Each release converts to the AGPLv3 after four years.

Can I leave?

Yes, and it's easy. Your data is one SQLite file you can download any time, and you can run that same file on your own server with the open binary.

What happens to the email I give you here?

We use it to tell you about early access and nothing else. It's stored on Nibwire itself — this waitlist runs on the product. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

I'm on Substack, Kit or Mailchimp. Does this work for me?

If you can export a CSV of subscribers, yes. Nibwire doesn't do paid subscriptions yet, so if most of your revenue is paid subs, wait for that.

Keep the readers. Drop the markup.
